How to treat vertigo?

For adequate distinctive diagnoses of vertigo, patient should primarily be examined by ENT and neurology specialists; and examination should be supported by ear, internal medicine and physical treatment specialists if necessary. It should be distinguished with details if it is a vertigo in real sense or an ordinary dizziness, or a vertigo due to an external factor other than vestibular system. After patient is diagnosed with real sense vertigo related to vestibular system, special treatment should be planned against the reason. The recommended treatment will be associated to the diagnosis.
The most common type of vertigo; is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) or a situation which can be called as crystal swing. The other most common vertigo reason is Meniere's Disease. It occurs with the pressure increase in inner ear. These disorders are no longer problems with our interventions, since we provide permanent treatments.
Disease is treated according to the types of reasons. Treatment is planned by considering the type of disease. In addition, if patient has excessive nausea-vomiting, anti-nausea medicines can be used. It is important for the patient to rest and avoid sudden movements at acute phase. Our patients come normal in about 1 week with our treatments. In case of resistant situations, supplementary treatments are provided and patients can return to their normal lives after a while.
In our practise: we also use rehabilitative maneuvers, protective exercises, life coaching for vertigo in patient-doctor relation, LFr-TMS (Low frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation), r-TMS treatment methods, supplementary medical treatments to strengthen vestibular system, new generation medical treatments for vertigo itself.
Surgery: Vertigo, which may be a symptom of more serious problems, requires a treatment process that should be taken seriously. If vertigo occurs as a result of a tumor, surgery is inevitable. In these cases, gamma knife procedures are generally preferred. In addition, when the balance nerve breaks down in any way, these conditions can often be caused by vein structures or trauma.
Since vertigo causes attention deficit, it should be noted that it may cause severe injury and accidents if cars and similar vehicles are used.
